Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Moles the trainer of Shrek's Tales regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Shrek's Tales last raced on 13/11/17. Mr. Moles stated the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.
Mr. G. Edwards the trainer of Sweet Shiraz declared a new weight of 24.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sweet Shiraz last raced at 25.2kg.
Mrs. L. Randall the trainer of Le Freak declared a new weight of 28.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Le Freak last raced at 30.1kg.
Denny Blue was quick to begin. Shrek's Tales was slow to begin. Belron Bliss and Destiny's Child collided soon after the start checking Belron Bliss. Shrek's Tales galloped on Sweet Shiraz entering the back straight checking Shrek's Tales and severely checking Sweet Shiraz which lost ground and tailed off. Destiny's Child was checked off Zipping Lucky in the home straight.
Sweet Shiraz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle and right monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Lindrea after the greyhound Zipping Lucky was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr. Lindrea was reminded of his responsibilities when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure.
Stewards spoke to kennel attendant Mr. B. Crawley after the greyhound Zipping Lucky was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr. Crawley was reminded of his respoinsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in the future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.
