Bags Of Bucks crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Rapanui Surprise, Walt On Bye and Fourth Dimention.  Notorious King and Fourth Dimention collided soon after the start.  Walt On Bye and Rapanui Surprise collided approaching the first turn.  Bags Of Bucks raced wide approaching the second turn causing Walt On Bye and Rapanui Surprise to race wide, Fourth Dimention and Fabulous Cash collided approaching the second turn.  Notorious King galloped on Fabulous Cash in the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Notorious King eased and failed to pursue the lure approaching the winning post checking Fourth Dimention.  Rapanui Surprise and Fabulous Cash collided approaching the winning post.  

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Van konynenburg, the trainer of the greyhound Notorious King regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Notorious King was vetted and re-vetted following the event 4. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind leg, no stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Notorious King with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Van konynenburg pleaded guilty to the charge, Notorious King was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

El Tigera checked off Meehan Phil soon after the start.  Meehan Phil crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Aquiam, Aston Ciobo, Buzz The Tower, Apila Cash and severely checking Meehan Phil and Black Shirley.  Aston Halle and Aquiam collided in the back straight checking Aston Halle.  Meehan Phil checked off El Tigera on the second turn.  Black Shirley checked off Buzz The Tower on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr W. McMahon, the representative of Dr. Gidget regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dr. Gidget last raced on 18 September 2017. Mr McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning from a left hock injury.

Straitline Willy, Hello Bomber and Stir Fry Shrimp collided on the first turn checking Straitline Willy and Stir Fry Shrimp. Straitline Willy checked off Stir Fry Shrimp approaching the second turn checking It's Debatable.  Dr. Annie and Dr. Gidget collided approaching the second turn.  Dr. Annie and Hello Bomber collided on the second turn checking Dr. Annie.  Stir Fry Shrimp checked off Dr. Annie on the third turn.  Dr. Gidget faltered and lost ground approaching the home turn.  It's Debatable veered out entering the home straight and marred Dr. Gidget checking Dr. Gidget, Straitline Willy and Stir Fry Shrimp.  It's Debatable veered out approaching the winning post and marred Straitline willy checking Straitline Willy and Stir Fry Shrimp.

Dr. Gidget was vetted and re-vetted following event 6.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Williamson, the trainer of the greyhound It's Debatable regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight & again approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged It's Debatable with marring. Mr Williamson pleaded guilty to the charge, It's Debatable was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Magenta Gold and no illness was detected.The greyhound was a late scratching at 3.08pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr T. Cortese was fined the sum of $100.

Zoenah's Legacy was slow to begin.  Marko Bale and Another Shiner went up with the lids at box rise and were slow to begin.

Paddy's Cripp and Dr. Eleonora collided soon after the start, checking Zoenah's Legacy.  Marko Bale and Zoenah's Legacy collided on the first turn.  Paddy's Cripp and Anjing Betina collided on the second turn.  Another Shiner checked off Zoenah's Legacy entering the back straight.  Dr. Eleonera, Aston Hinkley and Marko Bale collided on the home turn.

Gully Fever was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock injury, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs P. Andrews, the trainer of Power Burst regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Power Burst last raced on 6 August 2017. Mrs Andrews stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Power Burst trialled over 395mtrs from box 1, weight 36.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.76, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.25 lengths. Power Burst was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Our Charlie Rose trialled over the 395mtrs from box 8, weight 32.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.76, the greyhound won by margin of 7.00 lengths. Our Charlie Rose was Cleared.
