Steward's Report
Sir Fancy was slow to begin.
Dr. Watson and Taabinga Sprite collided approaching th first turn. Rusty Mia and Zipping Tina collided entering the back straight checking Zipping Tina. Rusty Mia and Dr. Watson collided in the back straight and again on the second turn. Mignon and Gully Fever collided approaching the home turn checking Gully Fever which faltered and pulled up. Rusty Mia and Dr. Watson collided entering the home straight. Rusty Mia checked off Plumcad in the home straight.
Gully Fever was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock injury, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Mignon - winner of the event.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs P. Andrews, the trainer of Power Burst regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Power Burst last raced on 6 August 2017. Mrs Andrews stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Power Burst trialled over 395mtrs from box 1, weight 36.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.76, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.25 lengths. Power Burst was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Our Charlie Rose trialled over the 395mtrs from box 8, weight 32.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.76, the greyhound won by margin of 7.00 lengths. Our Charlie Rose was Cleared.
