Rasleigh Banser was quick to begin.
Bags Of Bucks crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Rapanui Surprise, Walt On Bye and Fourth Dimention. Notorious King and Fourth Dimention collided soon after the start. Walt On Bye and Rapanui Surprise collided approaching the first turn. Bags Of Bucks raced wide approaching the second turn causing Walt On Bye and Rapanui Surprise to race wide, Fourth Dimention and Fabulous Cash collided approaching the second turn. Notorious King galloped on Fabulous Cash in the back straight checking both greyhounds. Notorious King eased and failed to pursue the lure approaching the winning post checking Fourth Dimention. Rapanui Surprise and Fabulous Cash collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Van konynenburg, the trainer of the greyhound Notorious King regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Notorious King was vetted and re-vetted following the event 4. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind leg, no stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Notorious King with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Van konynenburg pleaded guilty to the charge, Notorious King was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
