Galloping Rokyto was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Conway, the trainer of the greyhound Galloping Rokyto. Stewards deemed the performance of Galloping Rokyto unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Galloping Rokyto must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

When the greyhounds were retrieved from the kennels for this event, the temperature in the kennels was 19.4 degrees and the outside temperature was 29.6 degrees.

Stewards spoke to Mr I. Collins, the trainer of Knightrider regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Knightrider last raced on 24 August 2017. Mr Collins stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell.  Mr Collins also declared a new weight of 31.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Knightrider last raced at 29.9kgs.

Liberty Sage was quick to begin.

Knightrider and Dat Dat Daty collided soon after the start.  Killara John and Dat Dat Daty collided on the first turn checking Killara John, Wolf Point and Shrek's Typhoon.  Shrek's Typhoon checked off Wolf Point on the first turn and again on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Nicoll, the trainer of Krav Maga regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Krav Maga last raced on 1 October 2017. Mr Nicoll stated that the greyhound was returning from a left wrist injury.

Takaho Tiger was slow to begin.

Paddy's Cripp, Shiro and Urana Banjo collided soon after the start.  Mizuki and Krav Maga collided on the first turn checking Mizuki, causing Mizuki to lose ground as a result.  Urana Banjo and Takaho Tiger collided on the home turn checking Krav Maga and Urana Banjo.  Takaho Tiger checked off Paddy's Cripp on the home turn.  Shiro and Urana Banjo collided approaching the winning post.
