Stewards spoke to Mr J.Shaw, the representative of No Fluke regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. No Fluke last raced on 30th August 2017. Mr Shaw stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a left back muscle injury.

Judge Judy was very slow to begin (4.5L). Cruisy's Star, No Fluke and Mia Maestro collided soon after the start. Staying In Paris and No Fluke collided on the first turn. Judge Judy galloped on the heels of Cullquin Brienne on the home turn. Cruisy's Star raced wide on the home turn, entering the home straight and in the home straight. Staying In Paris and Adriel collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Collyer after the greyhound Dark Hombre was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr. Collyer was fined the sum of $50 and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure. 

Stewards spoke to kennel attendant, Mrs. D. Pell after the greyhound Dark Hombre was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mrs. Pell was reminded of her responsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration. 

Miss Travers and Arma Rapida was quick to begin. Another Banji and Chief Peekay were slow to begin. Avatar Crash and Maximum Kack collided soon after the start. Dark Hombre and Miss Travers collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Travers. Avatar Crash and Maximum Kack collided approaching the first turn checking Avatar Crash. Balance and Dark Hombre collided on the first turn. Another Banji and Avatar Crash collided on the first turn checking Avatar Crash which tailed off. Maximum Kack and Chief Peekay collided approaching the home turn. Dark Hombre and Miss Travers collided on the home turn. Maximum Kack and Chief Peekay collided on the home turn. Balance and Arma Rapida collided in the home straight.

Avatar Crash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left shin soreness and right pencil muscle injury.

Zambora Andy and Swell It Is were slow to begin. Dashing Dyson and Swell It Is collided soon after the start. Dashing Dyson and Mahjong Heat collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Swell It Up and Sacred Miss collided in the home straight and approaching the winning post.

Nimble Foot, All Inn Fergi and Don Quixote were slow to begin.

High Water, Cruisy's Patch and Eaglehawk Miss collided approaching the first turn checking Eaglehawk Miss and Cruisy's Patch. All Inn Fergi checked off Eaglehawk Miss approaching the home turn. Eaglehawk Miss checked off Foxy Molly approaching the home turn. Destini Alligator and Foxy Molly collided on the home turn checking Foxy Molly. Don Quixote and Eaglehawk Miss collided on the home turn checking Eaglehawk Miss. High Water and Destini Alligator collided several timnes on the home turn and entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Stewards spoke to Mr M.Delbridge, the trainer of Zambora Beau regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Zambora Beau last raced on 14 October, 2017. Mr Delbridge stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a right metacarpal injury.

Crazy Jo Jo was vetted prior to the event and passed fit to race.

Gold Odessa and Dance Craze were slow to begin.

Starlight Jill and Amigo Two collided on the home turn. Starlight Jill and Zambora Beau collided in the home straight.

Abyssal was slow to begin.

Dyna Greg and Mahjong Baby collided soon after the start. Adala Prince and Spot My Key collided approaching the home turn checking Spot My Key. Mahjong Baby and Media Street collided approaching the home turn checking Media Street. Abyssal galloped on the heels of Spot My Key approaching the home turn checking Spot My Key. Gunai Gossip and Bolare raced wide on the home turn.

Taylor Bale and Harvey Mills collided soon after the start checking Harvey Mills. Taylor Bale galloped on the heels of Lainey's Fortune on the first turn causing Taylor Bale to fall, checking Blue Blitz and severely checking Harvey Mills and Missed My Stop.

Harvey Mills was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a mild abrasion to the left thigh. No stand down period was imposed.

Taylor Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left foreleg shin soreness, injuries to the right wrist and left and right pencil muscles. A stand dowm period of 14 days was imposed.

Supplementary Report for Race 12 Shepparton 18 February 2018

Ms M Shaw presented greyhound PINGU for a veterinary examination at the Ballarat meeting on Monday 19 February. 
A 28-day standown for a back muscle injury was reported.  No further inquiry into performance of PINGU.
