Steward's Report
Club Manager, Mr. Dan Verberne advised Stewards that the track was medium harrowed on Thursday 9th November, 2017.
Destini Duchess was quick to begin. Far Welsh and Armand Bale were slow to begin. Armand Bale checked off Slingshot Sassy soon after the start. Slingshot Jake, Pat Malone, Slingshot Sassy and Zipping Brandy collided approaching the first turn. Armand Bale contacted the running rail on the first turn. Zipping Hazel, Slingshot Jake and Pat Malone collided heavily on the first turn causing Slingshot Jake to fall. Far Welsh and Slingshot Sassy collided on the first turn. Zipping Brandy crossed to the outside and raced wide approaching the home turn. Zipping Hazel and Pat Malone collided approaching the home turn. Far Welsh and Slingshot Sassy collided approaching the home turn. Far Welsh checked off Slingshot Sassy approaching the home turn. Zipping Hazel and Pat Malone collided on the home turn. Far Welsh and Armand Bale collided on the home turn. Armand Bale tired in the home straight.
Stewards inspected the racing surface in the vicinity of the first turn where Slingshot Jake fell. Stewards deemed the surface safe and suitable for racing.
Slingshot Jake was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right quadriceps muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Armand Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left back muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
