The Track Curator advised Stewards that the track was graded on Wednesday 19th July 2017.

Cordite Alert was slow to begin. Fast Trapper was quick to begin. Spring Baker and Secret Chord collided approaching the first turn, checking Secret Chord. Too Far Out checked off Zephyric approaching the first turn. Cordite Alert checked off Too Far Out approaching the home turn. 

A sample was taken from Zipping Megan - the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Lure Driver, Mr S Vick after viewing footage of the race start. Mr. Vick stated that there was a problem with the starting of the lure, which resulted in the run up time being longer then normal. Stewards were satisified that no greyhound was disadvantaged and the all clear was given. The Lure was then tested before the start of race two.

Yolk's Boy was slow to begin. Dyna Funky, Falling In Love, Zipping Jacy and Away We Go collided soon after the start, checking Falling In Love. Dyna Funky and Away We Go collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Dyna Funky, which collided with Yolk's Boy as a result. Red Octane and Miracles Happen collided several times in the home straight.

A pre race sampe was taken from Zipping Dash.

Bonnie Blue and Zipping Dash collided soon after the start, checking Bonnie Blue. Quarter To and Sidey collided approaching the first turn, checking Quarter To. Sidey and Prom Night collided approaching the home turn, checking Sidey. Bonnie Blue and Quarter To collided approaching the home turn, checking Quarter To. Sidey checked off Prom Night in the home straight. Sidey and Prom Night collided in the home straight. 

Over And Away and Coco Spectre were slow to begin. Just Add Colour, Marcus Daking and Crymelon Kit collided approaching the first turn, checking Marcus Daking and Crymelon Kit. Coco Spectre and Black Sass collided on the first turn, checking Coco Spectre. Black Sass and Crymelon Kit collided approaching the home turn, checking Crymelon Kit and Coco Spectre. Just Add Colour and Over And Away collided several times in the home straight, checking both greyhounds. 

A sample was taken from Dyna Chill - the winner of the event. 

Call Me Ernie was slow to begin. Dusty Roy and Odd Boots collided soon after the start, checking Odd Boots. Dusty Boy and Kinbrae Millie collided approaching the first turn, checking Dusty Boy. Swift Trent and Black Fields collided approaching the home turn, checking Black Fields. Black Fields veered out and marred the running of Call Me Ernie in the home straight. 

Black Fields was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both monkey muscles, and a spike wound to the right foreleg, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Byrne, the trainer of the greyhound Black Fields regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Black Fields with marring. Mr. Byrne pleaded guilty to the charge, Black Fields was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start of this race was delayed due to a lure malfunction. The greyhounds were removed from the boxes, revetted and passed fit to race. 

Handpass was quick to begin. Benlura and Noosa Parade collided soon after the start, checking Noosa Parade. Handpass and Lady Beatrix collided approaching the first turn, checking Handpass. Hutch and Handpass collided approaching the home turn. Handpass and Noosa Parade collided in the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Saint Flynn - the winner of the event. 

Dyna Aviator was slow to begin. Dyna Elvio checked off Kalani Willow on the first turn. Dyna Elvio and Arolok Lil' Gal collided approaching the home turn, checking Arolok Lil' Gal. Kalani Willow and Quando Quando collided in the home straight.

A pre race sample was taken from Azumi Swift.

Azumi Swift was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Cement Socks checked off Zambora Beau on the first turn. Fawn Pursuit and Fascinated collided approaching the home turn. Azumi Swift checked off Fawn Pursuit approaching the home turn. Denied Justice and Fascinated collided in the home straight.

Black Legend was slow to begin. Storm Search, Lektra Aly and Mudslinger collided approaching the first turn, checking Mudslinger and Brae's Bullet. Storm Search and Lektra Aly collided approaching the home turn. Brae's Bullet and Black Legend collided in the home straight. Storm Search checked off Snow Osti in the home straight.

A pre race sample was taken from Saloon Princess.

Mr. Agro, Ella Rhode and Oddball Quick were slow to begin and collided soon after the start, checking Mr. Agro and Oddball Quick. Saloon Princess, Iconic Rock and Sea Mist collided approaching the home turn, checking Sea Mist and Saloon Princess. Ella Rhode galloped on the heels of Saloon Princess approaching the home turn. 

Oddball Quick was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound suffered arrhythmia in the catching pen, a 90 day stand down period was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 74, Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Lanigan trainer of Zipping Bruiser regarding the length of time the greyhound had between races.  Zipping Bruiser last raced on 1st April, 2017.   Mr. Lanigan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right metacarpal injury.

A pre race sample was taken from Wrecker One.

Zipping Bruiser was slow to begin. Wrecker One and More Moment collided on the first turn. Pop Do It and Cee Righty collided on the first turn. Wrecker One and Autocrat collided entering the home straight.

A pre race sample was taken from Rampant Jack.

Beyound The Vally, Maximum Melva and Scorpion collided soon after the start, checking Maximum Melva. Tilly Rocks and Galactic Spirit collided on the first turn, checking Tilly Rocks. Scorpion, Maximum Melva and Tuscan Dream collided on the first turn, checking Tuscan Dream. Rampant Jack and Scorpion collided on the home turn, checking Scorpion, which collided with Tilly Rocks as a result. Rampant Jack and Scorpion collided entering the home straight. Tuscan Dream raced wide on the home turn.
