Little Popcorn was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Johnson the trainer of Pictures To Burn regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Pictures To Burn last raced on 09/10/17.  Mr. M. Johnson declared a new weight of 29.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Pictures To Burn last raced at 27.3kg.

Galloping Flash and Zipping Archie were slow to begin.  Galloping Flash was checked off Jessie Fernando on the first turn.

Our Karzon, Shrek's Typhoon, Allen Ernie and Ridgy Boy were slow to begin.  Our Karzon, Sheza Dragon and Ann Cherie collided approaching the first turn. Our Karzon, Sheza Dragon, Allen Ernie and Ann Cherie collided approaching the home turn severely checking all four greyhounds.  Our Karzon crossed to the outside on the home turn severely checking Ann Cherie.  Beljay Galaxy raced wide on the home turn.  Our Karzon, Sheza Dragon, Allen Ernie and Ann Cherie collided approaching the winning post.  

Allen Ernie was veted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind metatarsel, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. A. Ashworth regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Sheza Dragon.  Stewards directed that Sheza Dragon be boxed first in future events.

A blood and urine sample was taken from Golden Romance - winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Watson the trainer of Inda Way regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Inda Way last raced on 04/09/17.  Mr. Watson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right monkey muscle injury.  Mr. Watson declared a new weight of 28.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Inda Way last raced at 26.9kg.

Hi Ho Orazio was slow to begin.  Hi Ho Orazio, Seminole Wind, Full Moon and Lucky Millie collided soon after the start checking Seminole Wind.  Hi Ho Orazio, Full Moon and Lucky Millie collided on the first turn checking Full Moon, Lucky Millie and Seminole Wind.

Zed Merrett and Renaldo were slow to begin.  Parie Shiraz was very slow to begin (20 lengths).  Dewana Special, Cronk and Leading The Way collided on the first turn checking Dewana Special and severely checking Cronk and Zed Merrett.  Cronk faltered approaching the home turn and subsequently tailed off.

Cronk was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Parie Shiraz was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Williamson the trainer of the greyhound Parie Shiraz.  Stewards deemed the performance of Parie Shiraz unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Parie Shiraz must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

Brueghelino was quick to begin.  Shae's Intention and Kate's Intention were slow to begin.  Where Art Thou and Brueghelino collided appoaching the third turn.  Where Art Thou, Shae's Intention and Empress Lu collided approaching the home turn.

All About Corey was slow to begin.  Data Star and Tarree's Ruslie collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Tarree's Ruslie and Fleet Trades collided approaching the first turn.  Etiquette and Tarree's Ruslie collided in the home straight.

Megellas Fairy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn nail on the right front foot, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
