An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Balboa Express engaged in this event on 6th July, 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Falling In Love, Flame Slinger and You Aussie collided soon after the start. Kamchatka Lenny and Constant Rythym collided approaching the first turn checking Kamchatka Lenny. Kamchatka Lenny and Falling In Love collided on the first turn checking Kamchatka Lenny. Balboa Express checked off Falling In Love approaching the home turn and tailed off.
Stewards noted that the muzzle of Balboa Express became dislodged during the running of the event.
Balboa Express was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 3. It was reported that the greyhound sustained shin soreness in the left fore leg. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
A sample was taken from Charlie Mac, winner of the event.
