Federal Lilly and Loch Tight were quick to begin. Caribbean Red and Adherent were slow to begin. Federal Lilly and Loch Tight collided soon after the start. Loch Tight and Who's Got Class collided approaching the first turn. Hightan and Warrion Warrior collided on the first turn causing Warrion Warrior to stumble as a result. Caribbean Red checked off Loch Tight on the first turn. Who's Got Class galloped on the heels of Warrion Warrior on the first turn and collided with Adherent. Caribbean Red checked off Warrion Warrior on the third turn. Federal Lilly and Hightan collided several times in the home straight.
