Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr R.Matthews, the trainer of Urzael Harbinger regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Urzael Harbinger last raced on 16 March, 2018. Mr Matthews stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a extended spell.
Go Go Dancer and Burrawonga Girl were slow to begin.
Urzael Harbinger was very slow to begin (3L).
Bobby Ray, Tat Nuggie and Scott Hooked collided soon after the start checking Tat Nuggie. Tat Nuggie and Howie's Soxx collided approaching the first turn. Go Go Dancer and Burrawonga Girl collided approaching the first turn. Tat Nuggie, Urzael Harbinger and Burrawonga Girl raced wide on the home turn. Baby Max Fozz checked off Bobby Ray on the home turn checking Go Go Dancer. Baby Max Fozz and Go Go Dancer collided on the home turn. Howie's Soxx contacted the running rail on the home turn. Urzael Harbinger tailed off.
Howie's Soxx was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Matthews, the trainer of the greyhound Urzael Harbinger regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Urzael Harbinger was vetted and re-vetted following event 7. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left triangle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Urzael Harbinger with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Matthews pleaded guilty to the charge, Urzael Harbinger was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
