Steward's Report
Blackpool Flyer and Golden Jet were slow to begin.
Irish Swagger and Ace Cruising collided soon after the start. Ace Cruising and Limit Man collided approaching the first turn. Moncrieffe Miss and Candy Mix collided on the home turn. Ace Cruising and Limit Man collided on the home turn. Ace Cruising failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight and collided with Limit Man.
Stewards spoke to Mrs Tracey Deglaitis, the trainer of the greyhound Ace Cruising regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Ace Cruising was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and an abrasion to the left hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Ace Cruising with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Deglaitis pleaded guilty to the charge, Ace Cruising was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
