Irish Swagger and Ace Cruising collided soon after the start.  Ace Cruising and Limit Man collided approaching the first turn.  Moncrieffe Miss and Candy Mix collided on the home turn.  Ace Cruising and Limit Man collided on the home turn. Ace Cruising failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight and collided with Limit Man.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Tracey Deglaitis, the trainer of the greyhound Ace Cruising regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Ace Cruising was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and an abrasion to the left hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Ace Cruising with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Deglaitis pleaded guilty to the charge, Ace Cruising was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Secret's Out was slow to begin.

Usara Allen galloped on Blackpool Tipsy approaching the first turn checking Usara Allen and Secret's Out.  Blackpool Tipsy and Magical Diamond collided approaching the home turn.  Nettie's Flame and Secret's Out raced wide on the home turn.

Adriel, Murrabit Benny and Cruisy's were quick to begin.  Fawn Illusion, Miss Payne and Marlucky Day were slow to begin.

Adriel and Fawn Illusion collided on the first turn checking Fawn Illusion.  Da End checked off Fawn Illusion on the home turn.  Da End and Fawn Illusion collided approaching the winning post.

Staying In Paris was quick to begin.  Ballet Creek was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Stewards noted that the muzzle of King Of Merrimu became dislodged during the event.

Kalani Hagen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock injury, and was humanely euthanased.

Ebony Eclipse and Trapezius were quick to begin.

Ebony Eclipse, Rattle Gate and Charloltte Allen collided approaching the first turn.  Onya Teddy and Trapezius collided on the first turn.  Trapezius and Power Sensation collided on the first turn.  Power Sensation and Trapezius collided entering the back straight checking Trapezius.  Ebony Eclipse and Rattle Gate collided approaching the third turn.  Trapezius raced wide on the home turn.

Kathryne Tabb, trainer of Subscapularis declared a new weight of 34.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Subscapularis last raced at 35.3kg.

Captain Universe was examined by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and cleared to race.

Captain Universe and Winlock Casper were quick to begin.  Malick and Subscapularis were slow to begin. 

Speedway Lass and Beyond Today collided soon after the start.  Subscapularis, Glen Mika and Malick collided approaching the first turn checking Glen Mika.  Speedway Lass, Beyond Today and Subscapularis collided on the first turn checking Beyond Today and Subscapularis.  Subscapularis and Glen Mika collided approaching the first turn.

Razzle Oak and Blitzen Bell were quick to begin.  Parvati Grange was very slow to begin (4 lengths).

Quen Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain and a left back muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to kennel representative Mr S.Collyer regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms Mandy Shaw, the representative of Fantastic Bear regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Fantastic Bear last raced on 5 October 2017 and is returning from an extended spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Fantastic Bear trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1. weight 34.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.77, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7 ¼ lengths. Fantastic Bear was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Tom Noy, the trainer of Acola Rosebud regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Acola Rosebud last raced on 2 July 2017 and is returning from a seasonal break. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Acola rosebud trialled over the 400mtrs from box 5, weight 25.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.77, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5 lengths. Acola Rosebud was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Dyna Nancy trialled over the 400mtrs from box 8, weight 27.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.77, the greyhound won by a margin of 5 lengths. Dyna Nancy was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Geller Allen trialled over the 460mtrs from box 3, weight 32.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.90, the greyhound won by a margin of 5 lengths. Gellar Allen was Cleared.
