Steward's Report
Razzle Oak and Blitzen Bell were quick to begin. Parvati Grange was very slow to begin (4 lengths).
Blitzen Bell and Suitress collided soon after the start. Razzle Oak, Quen Bale and Ginza Liom collided approaching the first turn severely checking Quen Bale. Razzle Oak and Ginza Lion collided on the first turn.
Quen Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain and a left back muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to kennel representative Mr S.Collyer regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms Mandy Shaw, the representative of Fantastic Bear regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Fantastic Bear last raced on 5 October 2017 and is returning from an extended spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Fantastic Bear trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1. weight 34.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.77, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7 ¼ lengths. Fantastic Bear was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Tom Noy, the trainer of Acola Rosebud regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Acola Rosebud last raced on 2 July 2017 and is returning from a seasonal break. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Acola rosebud trialled over the 400mtrs from box 5, weight 25.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.77, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5 lengths. Acola Rosebud was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Dyna Nancy trialled over the 400mtrs from box 8, weight 27.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.77, the greyhound won by a margin of 5 lengths. Dyna Nancy was Cleared.
