Steward's Report
The start of the event was delayed by two and a half minutes to allow for the correct rug to be placed on Flying Apollo.
Crymelon Annie was quick to begin. Flying Apollo and Crymelon Annie collided approaching the first turn, checking Crymelon Annie. Swansea Ceri galloped on the heels of Crymelon Annie approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Crymelon Rip and Ziggy Doll collided entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
Stewards charged Mr Gary Webb with a breach of GAR 46 (1)(b) in that he presented Flying Apollo with the incorrect rug. Mr Webb pleaded guilty to the charge. Mr Webb was found guilty and fined the sum of $100.
Stewards spoke to the Parade Steward and reminded them of their responsibilities and asked that they check to ensure that all greyhounds have the correct rugs in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.
