Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Talgi, the trainer of Flying Hareeba regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Flying Hareeba last raced on 15th May 2017. Mr. Talgi stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after injuries to its stopper bone and toe. Flying Hareeba ran a satisfactory trial on 06/06/2018 at Cranbourne and was cleared.
Tory's Rocket was a late scratching at 5.50pm on 13/06/2018 due to being seasonal, a 28 day standown was imposed.
A pre race sample was taken from Flying Hareeba.
Jayanti was quick to begin. Go Zippy Go, Flying Hareeba and Jayanti collided approaching the first turn, checking Go Zippy Go, Flying Hareeba and Princess Parker. Avatar Vixen and Alpanda collided approaching the first turn, and again on the first turn, checking Alpanda. Go Zippy Go contacted the running rail on the first turn. Alpanda contacted the running rail approaching the home turn, checking Go Zippy Go. Go Zippy Go and Alpanda collided on the home turn, checking Alpanda.
Alpanda was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left stifle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
