Stewards spoke to Mrs J Imlach, the trainer of Crystal Shell regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Crystal Shell last raced on 14th February 2018. Mrs Imlach stated that the greyhound was seasonal.

Stewards noted a slight problem with the track timer sensors due to the adverse weather conditions, first and second split times were affected.

Tinker Ben was slow to begin. Reality Sail and Miss Chelsea collided soon after the start, checking Miss Chelsea. Reality Sail and Miss Chelsea collided on the first turn, checking Reality Sail. Crystal Shell and Good One Carl collided on the first turn, checking Good One Carl and Tinker Ben. Crystal Shell and Good One Carl collided approaching the home turn, checking Good One Carl. Miss Chelsea and Good One Carl collided on the home turn, checking Reality Sail, Miss Chelsea, Good One Carl and Tinker Ben. Reality Sail and Good One Carl collided entering the home straight, checking Good One Carl.

Reality Sail was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hock, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Mel Moran.

Dyna Cadet was a late scratching at 5.43pm on 13/06/2018 due to a laceration on the front left foot, a 10 day standown period was imposed.

Stewards noted a technical fault with the semaphore board - 'race 2' was displayed incorrectly - displayed result was correct.

Three Fifty One, New Fire Girl, Compounding and Shooters Ali were slow to begin. Mel Moran and Acer collided approaching the first turn. Compounding and Shooters Ali collided on the first turn. Mel Moran and New Fire Girl collided approaching the second turn, checking both greyhounds. Shooters Ali raced wide in the home straight.

Acer was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Talgi, the trainer of  Flying Hareeba regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Flying Hareeba last raced on 15th May 2017.  Mr. Talgi stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after injuries to its stopper bone and toe.  Flying Hareeba ran a satisfactory trial on 06/06/2018 at Cranbourne and was cleared.

Tory's Rocket was a late scratching at 5.50pm on 13/06/2018 due to being seasonal, a 28 day standown was imposed.

Jayanti was quick to begin. Go Zippy Go, Flying Hareeba and Jayanti collided approaching the first turn, checking Go Zippy Go, Flying Hareeba and Princess Parker. Avatar Vixen and Alpanda collided approaching the first turn, and again on the first turn, checking Alpanda. Go Zippy Go contacted the running rail on the first turn. Alpanda contacted the running rail approaching the home turn, checking Go Zippy Go. Go Zippy Go and Alpanda collided on the home turn, checking Alpanda. 

Alpanda was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left stifle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

An out of competition sample was taken from Kraken Mazing on 12/06/2018.

A pre race sample was taken from Whiney Whine.

Our Gal Livy and Veracity were quick to begin. Etiquette, Kraken Mazing and He's Okay collided approaching the first turn. Etiquette and He's Okay collided on the first turn, checking Etiquette, He's Okay and Flying Storm, Flying Storm raced wide as a result. Flying Danger checked off Our Gal Livy approaching the second turn, checking Etiquette. Whiney Whine checked off Kraken Mazing approaching the second turn, checking Etiquette, and severely checking He's Okay, Whiney Whine and Flying Storm. He's Okay galloped on the heels of Etiquette on the third turn, and again approaching the home turn.

Etiquette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a  7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Flying Storm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hamstrings, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Galloping Fantom on 12/06/2018.

Rodeo was slow to begin. Galloping Fantom and Dava Supreme were quick to begin. It's A Wink, Colonel, Vital Force and Hightan collided soon after the start, checking Colonel. Vital Force galloped on the heels of Galloping Fantom on the first turn, checking Vital Force, and severely checking It's A Wink and Galloping Fantom, It's A Wink crossed out as a result, severely checking Vital Force and Rodeo, causing Rodeo to race wide. Vital Force and Galloping Fantom collided in the back straight. Galloping Fantom faltered on the third turn and tailed off.

Galloping Fantom was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated right hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Saldana.

Romany Girl was quick to begin. Saldana, Kauai and Oops A Daisy collided soon after the start, and again approaching the first turn, checking Saldana and Kauai. Kauai and Voluptuous Ruby collided on the first turn. Voluptuous Ruby checked off Oops A Daisy on the first turn and raced wide as a result. Saldana and Kauai collided entering the back straight, checking Saldana, which raced wide as a result. Romany Girl raced wide in the back straight. Saldana raced wide approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Saldana was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right achilles, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Adala Prince was slow to begin. Sprint Tee, Johnny Black, Spy Secrets and Zipping Boyd collided approaching the first turn, checking Fantastic Ghost, Sprint Tee, Johnny Black, Adala Prince, Spy Secrets, Zipping Boyd and Jacey Allen, Zipping Boyd raced wide as a result. Johnny Black galloped on the heels of Fantastic Ghost on the third turn. Zipping Boyd and Jacey Allen collided on the third turn. Johnny Black and Adala Prince collided approaching the winning post.

She's Got Dash and Spritely Malibu collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Dark Star checked off Buckle Up York on the first turn, checking Dark Star, She's Got Dash, Spritely Malibu, Birkenhead and Iggy Wiggy. Voluptuous Dot and Big Gee Tee collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds and causing both to race wide.

Roland View was slow to begin. Joyous crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Shot To Glory. Rahni and Dewana Sprite collided on the first turn, checking Rahni. Joyous and Dewana Sprite collided approaching the home turn. Rahni and Dewana Sprite collided on the home turn. Shot To Glory checked off Dewana Sprite entering the home straight. Shot To Glory and Rahni raced wide in the home straight. 

Ernie's Legacy and Buckle Up Spud collided soon after the start. Sharp Missile and Gomer Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Buckle Up Spud, Gomez Sanchez and Marvellous Midge collided on the first turn, checking Buckle Up Spud, Gomez Sanchez, Sharp Missile and Gomer Bale. 

Stewards noted that the lure did not start in the normal timeframe after the green light was activated at the boxes, Stewards spoke to lure driver Mr W Harmor and he advised that he had a sneezing attack which caused him to not realise the green light was on. Stewards noted his explanation and referred it to his manager.
