Steward's Report
Underrated went up with the lids and was very slow to begin (2 lengths).
Miss Manuka and Pinnaroo collided approaching the first turn. Notorious King checked off Wok Djay approaching the first turn. Aussie Giant and Wok Djay collided on the first turn. Whiz and Lonnie Dream collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Underrated veered out and marred the running of Miss Manuka on the home turn. Miss Manuka and Underrated collided in the home straight.
Underrated was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Hammerstein, the trainer of the greyhound Underrated regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Underrated with marring. Mr Hammerstein pleaded guilty to the charge, Underrated was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a )before any future nomination will be accepted.
