A pre race sample was taken from Flashing Oaks.
Double Black was slow to begin.
Swansea Ceri crossed to the rails approaching the first turn and collided with Flashing Oaks. Country Gal, Flashing Oaks and Swansea Ceri collided on the first turn, severely checking Country Gal. Empty Chamber checked off Harper's Hand on the first turn.
Stewards spoke to Mrs Marion Clay regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Holly's Affair. Stewards directed that Holly's Affair be boxed first in future events.
Pursuant to GAR 51, Stewards reminded handlers, Mr Shaun Mifsud (Flashing Oaks) and Mrs Donna Dean (Harper's Hand) of their responsibilities after they failed to wait for the starter's instructions before boxing their greyhounds.
