Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Gary Sciortino, the trainer of Urban Bourbon regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Urban Burbon last raced on 18 February, 2018 and is returning to racing following a right shoulder injury.
A sample was taken from Aston Halle earlier today during a kennel visit by stewards.
Dex's Affair and Got It Right were quick to begin. Lightning Boxy was slow to begin.
Aston Halle and Ragadeen collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Ragadeen checked off Tibby Shore on the first turn. Tibby Shore checked off Got It Right on the first turn. Aston Halle and Ragadeen collided approaching the home turn. Dex's Affair and Lightning Boxy collided on the home turn. Aston Halle crossed to the outside on the home turn. Got It Right and Lightning Boxy collided several times approaching the winning post.
A sample was taken from Urban Bourbon - the winner of the event.
Urban Bourbon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have pannus in the right eye. No stand down period was imposed.
