Steward's Report
Ima Ghost Buster was slow to begin. Falling In Love, Dewana No Secret, Miss Tatts and Ria Listic Ria collided on the first turn, checking Dewana No Secret, severely checking Miss Tatts and causing Ria Listic Ria to fall. Falling In Love and Dewana No Secret collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight.
Falling In Love was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Miss Tatts was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Ria Listic Ria was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg radius/ulna fracture, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Dewana No Secret was vetted following the event, after the greyhound fell soon after the winning post. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left foreleg monkey and left hindleg triangle muscle injuries, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards noted that Falling In Love eased on the first turn. After viewing all available video footage, Stewards were not comfortably satisfied that a failing to chase charge was appropriate on this occasion due to the incident that occured at that time and the fallen greyhound.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr Aaron Farley, the trainer of Falling In Love, regarding the greyhound's manners after the winning post. Mr Farley was advised that the greyhound will be closely monitored for aggressive behaviour toward other greyhounds in future events.
