Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Gekko.
Soda Geoff was very slow to begin (6 lengths). Cullquin Bronn was slow to begin. Evil Pedro and Liberal Jones collided several times approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Evil Pedro. Gekko and Night Ninja collided on the first turn causing Night Ninja to lose ground as a result. Micro Midgee checked off Night Ninja on the first turn. Dad's Honour and Night Ninja collided approaching the home turn. Night Ninja and Cullquin Bronn collided entering the home straight.
Night Ninja was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr R. Anchen, Trainer, regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Cullquin Bronn. Stewards directed that Cullquin Bronn be boxed first in future events.
