Iceni Menace and Yenderra Blue collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  George Regis, Blackhawk Parker and Flying Action collided approaching the first turn, checking Blackhawk Parker.  Bundarra Magic and Iceni Menace collided on the first turn.  Blackhawk Parker and Flying Action collided approaching the home turn, checking Flying Action and severely checking Iceni Menace.  Flying Action, Bundarra Magic and Yenderra Blue collided approaching the home turn, checking Flying Action and Bundarra Magic.  Iceni Menace veered in and marred Yenderra Blue in the home straight.  Flying Action veered in and marred  Yenderra Blue approaching the winning post.

Flying Action was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injuries to both  pencil muscles  and an injured left shoulder, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to  Mr T Steel, the trainer of the greyhound Flying Action regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Flying Action with marring. Mr Steel pleaded guilty to the charge, Flying Action was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mrs Gray pleaded guilty to the charge, Iceni Menace was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
