A pre-race sample was taken from Bob's Brew upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Layback Cruiser and Bob's Brew were slow to begin. Lonnie Dream and Short Note collided soon after the start, checking Short Note. Lonnie Dream and Caribbean Red collided approaching the first turn. Squishy Pea and Callum's Son collided approaching the first turn. Layback Cruiser and Bob's Brew collided on the first turn. Short Note, Lonnie Dream and Layback Cruiser collided approaching the home turn. Bob's Brew checked off Layback Cruiser on the home turn. Lonnie Dream raced wide on the home turn. Squishy Pea and Caribbean Red collided several times in the home straight, checking Squishy Pea. Magic Kenz and Caribbean Red collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to handler Kerry Houlahan (Layback Cruiser) and advised her against making contact with the starting boxes after the greyhounds were placed in the starting boxes.
