Banana Bubblegum was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right metatarsals, no stand down period was imposed.

Miss Skye High was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right groin injury and an abrasion to the right hock, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Pinnaroo was a late scratching at 2:23pm due to the incorrect greyhound being presented (GAR 31). Trainer Mr Donald Field was fined the sum of $200. In arriving at penalty Stewards took into account Mr Field's personal circumstances, submissions on penalty, precedents for similar offences and his guilty plea.

Stewards spoke to Michael Meyer, the trainer of Agent Voilet regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Agent Voilet last raced on 5 January 2018. Michael Meyer stated that the greyhound has changed kennels.

Brenda Kinder, trainer of Hanga declared a new weight of 29.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hanga last raced at 31.3kg on 22 December 2017 and is returning to racing from a right hamstring injury.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr A. Sacco regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Ginza Lion. Stewards directed that Ginza Lion be boxed first in future events.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (Cramp) - Lektra Blicavs trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 31.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.54, the greyhound won by a margin of 2 lengths. Lektra Blicavs was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Three Toots trialled over the 400mtrs from box 6, weight 28.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.54, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 3/4 lengths. Three Toots was Cleared.
