Stewards spoke to Mr Scott McKenzie, the trainer of Pamela Rocks regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Pamela Rocks last raced on 20 February 2018. Mr McKenzie stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.
Pamela Rocks was slow to begin. Zipping Lyric and Mahoney Miss collided soon after the start, checking Mahoney Miss. Zipping Harper and Talanjee Chief collided on the first turn, checking Talanjee Chief. Zulu Fred and Ballet Creek collided on the first turn. Pamela Rocks and Talanjee Chief collided in the home straight, checking Talanjee Chief.
