Evil Shadow was quick to begin.  Thomeli Steel, Crymelon Tess and Ashlee Star collided approaching the first turn, checking Thomeli Steel.  Thomeli Steel contacted the running rail on the first turn.  My Rag Doll eased approaching the home turn and collided with Evil Shadow, severely checking both greyhounds.  Thomeli Steel and Crymelon Tess collided on the home turn.  Why Not Fletch and Crymelon Victory collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr Calum Blake, the handler of the greyhound My Rag Doll, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  My Rag Doll was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg chest muscle and right hindleg metatarsal periostitis injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged My Rag Doll with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Blake pleaded guilty to the charge, My Rag Doll was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
