Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr David Peckham, the trainer of Blitz And Bolt regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Blitz And Bolt last raced on 1 October 2017. Mr Peckham stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left stopper bone injury. Mr Peckham also declared a new weight of 32.5 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Blitz And Bolt last raced at 33.8 kgs.
Stewards spoke to Ms Linda Gore, the trainer of Call Me Ernie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Call Me Ernie last raced on 16 February 2018. Ms Gore stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left stopper bone injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Blitz And Bolt.
Dyna Yella and Yenderra Blue were quick to begin. Call Me Ernie was slow to begin. Banjo Boss, Full Of Boloney and Blitz And Bolt collided soon after the start, checking Blitz And Bolt. Banjo Boss and Full Of Boloney collided approaching the first turn, checking Banjo Boss. Just Tooie and Full Of Boloney collided on the first turn. Blitz And Bolt and Winterstein collided in the home straight, checking Blitz And Bolt.
