A pre-race sample was taken from Ghostly Terrah.
Ghostly Terrah and Buddie's Al were slow to begin.
Ghostly Terrah and Orlando Cruise collided soon after the start. Super Serena, Farfalla Nera, Jayanti and Myrniong Scar collided approaching the first turn checking Farfalla Nera. Jayanti and Myrniong Scar collided on the first turn checking Jayanti, Super Serena, Buddie's Al and severely checking Orlando Cruise and Grey Magic, Orlando Cruise raced wide and Myrniong Scar fell as a result.
Myrniong Scar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right stifle injury, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.
