Got Some Zip, Destiny's Child and Hurricane Billie collided on the first turn checking Destiny's Child, Hurricane Billie and Joanie's Johnny.  Goldie's Nugget checked off Just Jimmy on the home turn.  Big Butterbean eased on the home turn causing Got Some Zip and Hurricane Billie to collide.  Big Butterbean eased entering the home straight.

Big Butterbean was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Barlett, the trainer of the greyhound Big Butterbean regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Big Butterbean with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Bartlett pleaded not guilty to the charge, Big Butterbean was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr I. Anderson, trainer of Stealthy Flight declared a new weight of 29.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Stealthy Flight last raced at 27.2kgs.

Jen's Magic was slow to begin.

Mega McKayla and Baby Houseman collided soon after the start.  Budva crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Stealthy Flight and Hurricane Craig.  Mega McKayla and Baby Houseman collided on the first turn checking Baby Houseman.  Mega McKayla and Maniac Matilda collided approaching the home turn checking Maniac Matilda.  Budva raced wide on the home turn.  Stealthy Flight and Hurricane Craig collided entering the home straight.  Stealthy Flight and Mega Mckayla collided in the home straight.  Mega McKayla eased in the home straight and collided with Stealthy Flight checking Stealthy Flight.  

Stewards spoke to Mr S. Spence, the representative of the greyhound Mega McKayla regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Mega McKayla was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind achilles, no stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mega McKayla with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Spence pleaded guilty to the charge, Mega McKayla was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Scooby Scooby Do and Fish Armo were quick to begin.  Sharp Spur and Ruby's Rosa were slow to begin.  

Sharp Spur and Ruby's Rosa collided approaching the first turn checking Sharp Spur.  Scooby Scooby Do and Fish Armo collided approaching the first turn causing Scooby Scooby Do to check off Fish Armo.  Proving Ground and Dare To Do collided approaching the first turn.  Dare To Do, Fish Armo, Ruby's Rosa and Proving Ground collided on the first turn severely checking Fish Armo and Ruby's Rosa, Ruby's Rosa stumbled as a result.  La Carpice galloped on Proving Ground on the first turn severely checking Proving Ground which stumbled.  Santana checked off Sharp Spur on the first turn.

Ruby's Rosa was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left foot and a left calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Ghostly Terrah and Buddie's Al were slow to begin.

Ghostly Terrah and Orlando Cruise collided soon after the start.  Super Serena, Farfalla Nera, Jayanti and Myrniong Scar collided approaching the first turn checking Farfalla Nera.  Jayanti and Myrniong Scar collided on the first turn checking Jayanti, Super Serena, Buddie's Al and severely checking Orlando Cruise and Grey Magic, Orlando Cruise raced wide and Myrniong Scar fell as a result.

Myrniong Scar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right stifle injury, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Little Bala was slow to begin.

She's Our Poppy crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Dubai Prince and Acquire.  Dubai Prince and Fabulous Gee collided approaching the first turn.  Acquire checked off Timeless Rose on the first turn and collided with Little Bala, both greyhounds raced wide and lost considerable ground as a result.  Little Bala raced ungenerously on the home turn and collided with Acquire. 

Little Bala was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr C. Kas, the trainer of the greyhound Little Bala. Stewards deemed the performance of Little Bala unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Little Bala must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

My Cousin Jim and Cosmic Breeze were slow to begin.

Renaldo, My Cousin Jim and Share collided soon after the start.  Philo Bale, Weeona Annie and Mac collided soon after the start.  Renaldo and Philo Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Renaldo.  My Cousin Jim checked off Galaxy Star on the first turn.  Renaldo checked off Galaxy Star approaching the home turn.  Share and My Cousin Jim collided approaching the home turn.  My Cousin Jim checked off Renaldo in the home straight and crossed to the rail.

Lilywhites and Bowon Approach were quick to begin.  Modern Jagger was slow to begin.

Lilywhites checked off Bowon Approach approaching the first turn and lost ground.  Eminence Keroma galloped on Bowon Approach on the first turn checking Sergeant Schultz, Eminence Keroma and Bowon Approach.  Lilywhites galloped on Sergeant Schultz approaching the home turn severely checking Sergeant Schultz; Sergeant Schultz galloped on Eminence Keroma as a result, severely checking both greyhounds.  Weeona Wilbur galloped Ballistic Gem in the home straight checking Ballistic Gem.

Sergeant Schultz was vetting following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Paddy's Cripp, Row Tay Tom, Temujin and Miz Josie collided soon after the start checking Row Tay Tom.  Miz Jones checked off Middle Trucker approaching the first turn and collided with Three Scoops.  Milly's Choice, Paddy's Cripp and Black Valentine collided on the first turn checking Milly's Choice, Black Valentine and severely checking Paddy's Cripp which stumbled and lost ground subsequently checking Temujin, Row Tay Tom, Three Scoops and Miz Jones.  Paddy's Cripp and Three Scoops collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Jan Brooks, the trainer of Nikita's Blaze regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Nikita's Blaze last raced 24 November 2017 and is returning to racing following a seasonal spell. Mrs Brooks also declared a new weight of 28.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Nikita's Blaze last raced at 29.9kgs. 

Latissimus Dorsi was slow to begin.

Kayla Las checked off Cersei on the first turn.  Nikita's Blaze and Flying Storm collided approaching the home turn.  Kayla Las checked off Nikita's Blaze approaching the home turn.

Blue Cat Wombat, Gammy's Choice and On The Rebound collided soon after the start.  Summer Kate checked off Flip soon after the start and crossed out.  Gammy's Choice and On The Rebound collided approaching the first turn.  Gammy's Choice and Redfined collided on the first turn.  Summer Kate raced wide approaching the home turn.  All About Arby and On The Rebound collided entering the home straight.  Blue Cat Wombat raced wide entering the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Blue Irish trialled over the 400mtrs from box 3, weight 36.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.89, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 lengths. Blue Irish was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr D. Archer, the trainer of Han Solo regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Han Solo last raced on 15 November 2017 and is returning from a change of kennels Pursuant to GAR 77A, Han Solo trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 32.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.89, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2 lengths. Han Solo was Cleared.
