Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Aston Ninja.
Pepper Rock was slow to begin. Pepper Rock and Aston Ninja collided soon after the start. Lindy Bop, Princess Marjen and Big Bazza collided approaching the first turn, checking Lindy Bop and Princess Marjen. Big Bazza and Sariah Allen collided on the first turn, checking Sariah Allen. Lindy Bop and Princess Marjen collided on the home turn. Dyna Nancy veered out and marred the running of Sariah Allen in the home straight.
Dyna Nancy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right deltoid, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Grenfell, the handler of the greyhound Dyna Nancy regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dyna Nancy with marring. Mr. Grenfell pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Nancy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
