Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Johannsen, the trainer of Trey Smidge regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Trey Smidge last raced on 21st January 2018. Mr. Johannsen stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lakeview Grace.
Black Shirley was slow to begin. Lakeview Grace and Double Black collided soon after the start checking Lakeview Grace. Lakeview Grace and One Way Ticket collided soon after the start. Trey Smidge checked off Bigtime Bruce approaching the first turn. Trey Smidge and He's A Freebie collided on the first turn causing Black Shirley, One Way Ticket and He's A Freebie to collide; He's A Freebie lost ground as a result. Double Black and Trey Smidge collided approaching the home turn. One Way Ticket and Black Shirley collided approaching the home turn. Apache Flame was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
