Steward's Report
Seeka Moment, Aztec Warrior and Balmoral Bash were slow to begin.
Irish Swagger, Doran's Flame, Seeka Moment, Aztec Warrior, Got Some Zip and Balmoral Bash collided approaching the first turn, checking Mac Daddy, Seeka Moment and Got Some Zip. Irish Swagger and Aztec Warrior collided on the first turn, severely checking Irish Swagger. Macelon eased in the home straight and tailed off.
Stewards spoke to Mr Calum Blake, the kennel representative for the greyhound Macelon, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Macelon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle, a ten-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Macelon with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Blake pleaded guilty to the charge, Macelon was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
