Imlach, the trainer of the greyhound Atigrado regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Atigrado was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right hock a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Atigrado with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Imlach pleaded guilty to the charge, Atigrado was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Chill Out Julie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Mr Chilcott declined a re-vet.  Stewards deemed the performance of Chill Out Julie unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Chill Out Julie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Good Odds Ava and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 5.59pm due to weight variation(GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr K. McCann was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Barnard, the trainer of Promiscuous regarding her non appearance at the kennels to prepare the greyhound for this event. Stewards subsequently changed Ms. Barnard with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that she failed to appear at the kennels within 5 minutes of the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Promiscuous for event 9. Ms. Barnard pleaded guilty to the charge and was found guilty.  In determining a penalty Stewards considered the guilty plea of Ms. Barnard and her previous history relating to similar incidents. Ms. Barnard was fined the sum of $200.

Galloping Rokyto trialled over the 311mtrs from box 2, weight 28.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15 lengths. Galloping Rokyto was Cleared. (The greyhound was checked on the home turn).

Cherokee Shimmer trialled over the 311mtrs from box 1, weight 25.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.04, the greyhound won by a margin of 12 lengths. Cherokee Shimmer was Cleared.
