Tiger Tees was quick to begin.

Half Day Harry was slow to begin.

Half Day Harry and Benny Big Head collided on the first turn. Greysynd Sofi and Zipping Hazel collided on the first turn. Pepper Shannon and Zipping Hazel collided approaching the second turn. Pepper Shannon lost ground on the second turn. Pepper Shannon and Zipping Hazel collided several times entering the home straight and in the home straight. Tiger Tees crossed to the outside in the home straight, eased and collided with Pepper Shannon.

Tiger Tees was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Pepper Shannon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain and right shin soreness. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

A sample was taken from Pepper Shannon, second placegetter of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Hammerstein, the trainer of the greyhound Tiger Tees regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Tiger Tees with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Hammerstein pleaded guilty to the charge, Tiger Tees was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
