Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Chivell, the trainer of Girt By Sea, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Girt By Sea last raced at Launceston on 20 November 2017. Mr Chivell stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennels.
Pursuant to GAR 104(6), Ms Abbey Kemp did not act in any official capacity for this event. Ms Kemp was replaced by Mr Brendan Mulligan.
Girt By Sea was slow to begin.
Startron, Macauliff, Fruit Frames and Don's Just Under collided soon after the start. Double Explosion crossed to the outside at the 300m mark, checking Fruit Frames, Don's Just Under and Kayla Las. Girt By Sea and Fruit Frames collided approaching the 150m mark.
