Stewards spoke to Mr. Thomas Curry, the trainer of Got The Boot regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Got The Boot last raced on 18 October 2017 and is returning to racing following a sprained left wrist.

Mr Brendan Moles, trainer of Lollipop declared a new weight of 23.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lollipop last raced at 22.4kgs.

Lightfoot Lass, Speedway Chick, Bob's Cash and Lollipop collided soon after the start.  Lightfoot Lass and Speedway Chick collided approaching the first turn.  Bob's Cash and Lollipop collided approaching the first turn.  Bob's Cash and Got The Boot collided on the first turn checking Speedway Chick and Lollipop and severely checking Got The Boot.

Got The Boot was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left wrist, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

How Manny Bazza and Just Won Lotto were slow to begin.  Hurricane Billie and Belleperi Miss collided soon after the start.  Ima Rig and Unique Spirit collided approaching the first turn checking How Manny Bazza.  Hurricane Billie, Belleperi Miss and Stealthy Flight collided on the first turn checking Hurricane Billie, Unique Spirit, Just Won Lotto and Ima Rig and severely checking Stealthy Flight.  Sweet Ambush eased on the first turn.  Ima Rig and Unique Spirit collided approaching the home turn.  Hurricane Billie and Just Won Lotto collided approaching the home turn checking How Manny Bazza.  Sweet Ambush raced wide on the home turn.  Ima Rig was checked off Unique Spirit on the home turn.  Hurricane Billie and Just Won Lotto collided entering the home straight.  Ima Rig and Stealthy Flight collided entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Unique Spirit was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound between the toes on the left front foot.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Sweet Ambush was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 6, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Craig Davis the trainer (via phone) and Mr. G. Maxwell  the representative of the greyhound Sweet Ambush regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Sweet Ambush with failing to pursue the lure with due commtment.  Mr. Davis pleaded not guilty to the charge, Sweet Ambush was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months all tracks and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Belleperi Miss - winner of the event.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. Glenn Maxwell after he left the course without Steward's permission (GAR 42.2). In assessing an appropriate penalty Stewards took into account that Mr Maxwell has had no previous history relating to this matter. 

Dr. Sparkles was a late scratching at 10:33am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. Bryce Templeton, trainer of Peaked declared a new weight of 31.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Peaked last raced at 29.1kgs.

Peaked and Crucial Conflict were quick to begin.  Tarquin Bob, Jasper's Best, Magic Muzza and Cosmic Reign collided on the first turn checking Jasper's Best.  Tarquin Bob and Crucial Conflict collided on the second turn.  Cosmic Reign was checked off Tarquin Bob approaching the home turn.

Wy Yung Floods was quick to begin.  Sandtrack Sniper was slow to begin.  Sandtrack Sniper was checked off Blue Regis on the first turn.  Dark Stealth was checked off Trumpeter in the back straight.  Sandtrack Sniper and Blue Regis collided in the back straight.

Blue Regis was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left stifle and right hind foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Templeton, the trainer of Blue Regis after the greyhound performed below market expectations.  Mr. Templeton stated that the greyhound was having his first start since entering his kennel and after beginning slowly and receiving interference he felt that the greyhound may be better suited to an inside draw. Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action. 

A sample was taken from Lieu Knee Annie - winner of the event.

Mr William McMahon, the representative for Dr. Cadenza declared a new weight of 29.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dr. Cadenza last raced at 27.9kg.

All About Arby was quick to begin.  Hello Nimble was slow to begin.  All About Arby crossed out soon after the start checking Busta Voe, Knew It and Will Dazzle.  Jett Zafonic was checked off Dr. Cadenza on the first turn checking Busta Voe, Hello Nimble and Knew It.  All About Arby, Jett Zafonic and Hello Nimble collided on the second turn checking All About Arby.  All About Arby and Knew It collided approaching the home turn.  Jett Zafonic and Hello Nimble collided approaching the winning post.

Macauliff and Dr. Annie were slow to begin.  Wanneroo, Shall She Cindy and Ima Logger collided soon after the start.  Shall She Cindy and Ima Logger collided on the first turn.  Macauliff and Dr. Annie collided entering the back straight.  Allen Incent raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Daisy Patch and Bossy Caleb were quick to begin.  Dr. Poppel was slow to begin.  Dr. Oliver and Azza collided on the first turn, Azza stumbled as a result checking Vane Power and Dr. Poppel.  Sidevalve was checked off Bossy Caleb approaching the second turn.  Azza brushed the running rail on the second turn.  Vain Power was checked off Sidevalve on the home turn.  Bossy Caleb was checked off Daisy Patch in the home straight, stumbled and lost considerable ground checking Dr. Oliver.

Bossy Caleb was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor abrasion to a toe on the left front foot, no stand down period was imposed.

Azza was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor abrasion between the toes on the left front foot, no stand down period was imposed.

Mr. Ian Anderson, trainer of Where's Marcia declared a new weight of 27.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Where's Marcia last raced at 25.9kg.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Yvonne Cassidy, the trainer of Ruby Two Shoes regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ruby Two Shoes last raced on 16 November 2017 and is returning to racing after being spelled.
