Steward's Report

Mr David Basile, trainer of Penberthy, declared a new weight of 31.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Penberthy last raced at 33.1kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bush Princess.

Zenstar was quick to begin.

Penberthy and Bush Princess collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Two Mississippi checked off the heels of Octo Burn approaching the home turn, causing Octo Burn to contact the running rail. Zenstar and Myrtle Grange collided approaching the home turn causing Myrtle Grange to race wide. Myrtle Grange checked off Zenstart in the home straight.

Penberthy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the abdominal muscle and lumbo-sacral region. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
