Immediately following this event Judges inadvertantly semaphored the incorrect numbers of 1-4-2-7.  This was corrected to 1-4-2-5 before the all clear was given.

Alonso Mornay was quick to begin.  No More Sisco and Cruising Stella were slow to begin.  Mepunga Zeus and No Excuse collided approaching the first turn.  Ohana Sparkles checked off Cherokee Shimmer approaching the first turn.  Mepunga Zeus and Ohana Sparkles collided on the first turn.  Especial Shiraz checked off No Excuse on the first turn.  No More Sisco and Cruising Stella collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Mepunga Zeus raced wide in the back straight.  Cherokee Shimmer checked off Mepunga Zeus approaching the third turn.  Ohana Sparkles and Cherokee Shimmer collided approaching the home turn.  Especial Shiraz and Mepunga Zeus collided entering the home straight, checking Mepunga Zeus and Ohana Sparkles.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Miss Terindah, a  post-race sample was subsequently taken.

This race was delayed by approximately 1.5 minutes due to a Ballarat Thoroughbred race running behind time. 

Go Commando was quick to begin.  Fess Crockett, Mepunga Molly and Alotta Talk were slow to begin.  Miss Terindah and Zipping Monty collided soon after the start.  Zipping Monty and Fess Crockett collided soon after the start.  Miss Terindah checked off Zipping Monty approaching the first turn.  Mepunga Molly and Loroupe collided on the first turn.  Miss Terindah, Fess Crockett and Alotta Talk collided on the first turn.  Alotta Talk and Loroupe collided in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Okay Kirsty - the winner of the event.

Mrs Jessica Sharp, trainer of Mercedes Red, declared a new weight of 28.6 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Mercedes Red last raced at 29.9 kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Shady Buck.

My Hardaway Hana was quick to begin.  Pass The Jar stumbled after the start, colliding with Undisputed and Charity Wish.  Undisputed and Pass The Jar collided approaching the first turn, checking Pass The Jar.  Total Mayhem raced wide on the first turn, checking Shady Buck.  Mercedes Red checked off Shady Buck approaching the third turn.

Watch Me Wyn failed to pursue the lure with due committment soon after the start and crossed to the outside checking Dallas Sky, Sisco Bella and Dyna Carver.  Gracie's Colour, Throw The Book and Dallas Sky collided soon after the start, checking Throw The Book.  Gracie's Colour, Dallas Sky, Zipping Archie and Watch Me Wyn collided approaching the first turn, checking Watch Me Wyn, Dallas Sky, Zipping Archie and Sisco Bella.  Gracie's Colour and Throw The Book collided approaching the second turn.

Watch Me Wyn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right deltoid and right triangle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Kyle Goodwin, the trainer of the greyhound Watch Me Wyn, regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Watch Me Wyn with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Goodwin pleaded not guilty to the charge, Watch Me Wyn was found guilty and suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zipping Archie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr Glenn Rounds, the Trainer of Zipping Archie regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. After viewing all available footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards we’re not fully satisfied that the greyhound eased before the winning post. On this occasion Stewards issued Zipping Archie with a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Nike Viper.

Yuko, Coco Spectre and Uno Arjo collided soon after the start, checking Coco Spectre and Uno Arjo.  Ruby Red Eden checked off Lightwood Miss soon after the start.  Coco Spectre checked off Crackerjack Ale on the first turn.  Crackerjack Ale and Kiss Me Nicki collided approaching the second turn.  Crackerjack Ale checked off Lightwood Miss on the third turn and collided with Uno Arjo; checking Uno Arjo and severely checking Crackerjack Ale. Coco Spectre checked off Uno Arjo approaching the home turn.

Crackerjack Ale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Mr Bad Example, Zambora Tyler and Anjing Betina were slow to begin.  Mr Bad Example and Zambora Tyler collided on the first turn, checking Mr Bad Example.  Mr Bad Example checked off Rellim Diesel on the first turn.  Permafrost and Coalville Tiger collided on the second turn, checking Permafrost and Zambora Tyler.  Rellim Diesel and Mr Bad Example collided entering the back straight, checking Rellim Diesel.  Permafrost and Mr Bad Example collided in the home straight.

Stewards noted the gate for the tractor on the outside of the track was not closed during the running of the event.  Stewards spoke to appropriate staff to ensure the gate is closed in future.

Storm Train was slow to begin.  Lylah's Way, Crump's Princess and True Talent collided soon after the start, checking Crump's Princess.  True Talent and Lylah's Way collided approaching the first turn, checking True Talent.  So Amazing and Ringading Sister collided approaching the first turn.  Crump's Princess checked off True Talent on the first turn.  So Amazing and Ringading Sister collided on the second turn.  Storm Train checked off Ringading Sister in the back straight.  So Amazing and Ringading Sister collided approaching the home turn.  Ringading Sister and Crump's Princess collided approaching the home turn.  So Amazing and Ringading Sister collided entering the home straight.  Ringading Sister and Storm Train collided in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Lylah's Way - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr Daryl Hamilton, the representative of Dewana Express, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dewana Express last raced on 1 November 2017 and is returning after an extended spell.

Mr Barry Harper was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card/weight card were produced for the greyhound Omega Brittany pursuant to GAR 33.

Dewana Express and Blue Gum Hill were slow to begin.  Omega Brittany and Blue Gum Hill collided soon after the start.  Leo's Gift and Solitary Girl collided approaching the first turn.  Leo's Gift, Sparky Neveelk and Blue Gum Hill collided on the first turn.  Sprint Tee checked off Dewana Express on the first turn.  Leo's Gift raced wide in the back straight.  Sparky Neveelk raced wide approaching the third turn.  Dewana Express checked off Lost Love on the home turn.

A sample was taken from Solitary Girl - the winner of the event.

Crook Me Kindly and Boil Over collided soon after the start.  Water Colour checked off Little Big Shot approaching the first turn.  Boil Over crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Little Big Shot and Crook Me Kindly.  Crook Me Kindly and Charlie Haze collided entering the back straight, checking Charlie Haze.  Water Colour checked off Boil Over approaching the third turn.

Vanilla Kiss and Regazzoni collided soon after the start.  Vanilla Kiss and Savannah Ash collided approaching the first turn, checking Savannah Ash.  Master Rico checked off Memphis Sky on the first turn.  Master Rico and Savannah Ash collided on the second turn and again in the back straight.  Vanilla Kiss and Master Rico collided on the third turn, checking Vanilla Kiss.  

Vanilla Kiss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right foreleg deltoid, left and right foreleg monkey muscle injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Small Rose.

Sariah Allen was slow to begin.  Stand Beside Me crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Manzeene Magic and Small Rose.  Small Rose and Stand Beside Me collided on the first turn; checking Stand Beside Me, which became unbalanced.  Sariah Allen and Geopark Ruby collided on the first turn.  Stand Beside Me and Geopark Ruby collided on the second turn, checking Stand Beside Me.  Stand Beside Me checked off Geopark Ruby in the back straight, checking both greyhounds and causing Stand Beside Me to stumble as a result.  Small Rose and Manzeene Magic collided approaching the winning post.

Stand Beside Me was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg triangle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
