Stewards spoke to Mr Daryl Hamilton, the representative of Dewana Express, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dewana Express last raced on 1 November 2017 and is returning after an extended spell.
Mr Barry Harper was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card/weight card were produced for the greyhound Omega Brittany pursuant to GAR 33.

Dewana Express and Blue Gum Hill were slow to begin. Omega Brittany and Blue Gum Hill collided soon after the start. Leo's Gift and Solitary Girl collided approaching the first turn. Leo's Gift, Sparky Neveelk and Blue Gum Hill collided on the first turn. Sprint Tee checked off Dewana Express on the first turn. Leo's Gift raced wide in the back straight.
