Steward's Report
Watch Me Wyn failed to pursue the lure with due committment soon after the start and crossed to the outside checking Dallas Sky, Sisco Bella and Dyna Carver. Gracie's Colour, Throw The Book and Dallas Sky collided soon after the start, checking Throw The Book. Gracie's Colour, Dallas Sky, Zipping Archie and Watch Me Wyn collided approaching the first turn, checking Watch Me Wyn, Dallas Sky, Zipping Archie and Sisco Bella. Gracie's Colour and Throw The Book collided approaching the second turn.
Watch Me Wyn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right deltoid and right triangle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Kyle Goodwin, the trainer of the greyhound Watch Me Wyn, regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Watch Me Wyn with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Goodwin pleaded not guilty to the charge, Watch Me Wyn was found guilty and suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Zipping Archie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr Glenn Rounds, the Trainer of Zipping Archie regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. After viewing all available footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards we’re not fully satisfied that the greyhound eased before the winning post. On this occasion Stewards issued Zipping Archie with a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.
