Stewards spoke to Ms Brooke Ennis, the trainer of Yoda, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners from turning off the back straight until entering the home straight. Yoda was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) and biceps femoris (thigh) muscles, a seven-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), Yoda was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury), in particular that Yoda turned its head outwards on the home turn.  Ms Ennis pleaded not guilty to the charge, Yoda was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Exhibition trial - Quick Jagger trialled over the 525 metres from box one, weighing 32.9kg. The time of the trial was 29.90.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Oshkosh Expert trialled over the 525m from box one, weight 34.0kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of five. The time of the trial was 30.25, the greyhound won by a margin of 21.25L. Oshkosh Expert was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Dynastic Ruler trialled over the 525m from box eight, weight 31.3kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of five. The time of the trial was 30.25, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 21.25L. Dynastic Ruler was not cleared. Dynastic Ruler was vetted following the trial. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) and right pectoral (chest) muscles, and a spike wound to the left hind foot (3rd digit) and a 14-day stand down period was imposed.
