Bruree Belle and Canya Wilber collided soon after the start checking Bruree Belle.  Bruree Belle and Princess Parker collided approaching the first turn checking Bruree Belle.  Major Energy contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost considerable ground checking Touch Of Silk.  Princess Parker and Knuckles collided approaching the home turn checking Knuckles.  Bruree Belle raced wide on the home turn.  Major Energy contacted the running rail on the home turn.  Touch Of Silk and Bruree Belle raced wide in the home straight.

Major Energy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained 2 lacerations to the left hind medial tibia, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Champagne Chaser was vetted and re-vetted following event 9.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Clarke, the trainer of the greyhound Champagne Chaser.  Stewards deemed the performance of Champagne Chaser unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Champagne Chaser must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Knocker, the representative of Stevie Gee regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Stevie Gee last raced on 12 October 2017. Mr Knocker stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell and change of kennels.

Cairnlea Rosie and Gats As Promised were quick to begin.  Sale Graze Bindi, Stevie Gee and Pass The Jar were slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to Mr N. Jones, the trainer of the greyhound Cairnlea Rosie regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Cairnlea Rosie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Cairnlea Rosie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Whodat Magic and Riviera Cruz were quick to begin.

Dewana Special and Adherent collided on the first turn.  Whodat Magic and Dynamic Rainbow collided on the first turn checking Dynamic Rainbow, Meehan Sox and severely checking Jacey Allen, Meehan Sox raced wide as a result.  Ishmy Gloria faltered entering the back straight severely checking Whodat Magic and checking Dynamic Rainbow and Meehan Sox, Ishmy Gloria subsequently pulled up.  

Whodat Magic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain and right triangle injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Ishmy Gloria was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hock injury, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Currie, the trainer of Rose Of Dyanna regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Rose Of Dyanna last raced on 8 October 2017.  Mr Currie stated that the greyhound was returning from a seasonal spell.
