Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Anderton the representative of Ballerina regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Ballerina last raced on 13/09/17. Mr. Anderton stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell. Mr. Anderton declared a new weight of 26.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ballerina last raced at 25.0kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Ballerina.
Supa Shalala was quick to begin. Urana Vee Eight was very slow to begin (4.5 lengths). Ballerina and Freak Unleashed collided approaching the first turn. Freak Unleashed was checked off Ballerina on the first turn.
