Steward's Report
Tantalise was slow to begin. Python Pride and Rapanui Surprise collided soon after the start checking Rapanui Surprise. Theo's Thunder eased, raced wide and failed to pursue the lure approaching the first turn severely checking Carson County and Spruce Moose. Python Pride clipped the heels of Dallas Sky on the first turn. Theo's Thunder eased and failed to pursue the lure approaching the winning post and collided with Dallas Sky.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Divirgilio the trainer of the greyhound Theo's Thunder regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn and again approaching the winning post. Theo's Thunder was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right and left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Theo's Thunder with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Divirgilio pleaded guilty to the charge, Theo's Thunder was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
