Tantalise was slow to begin.  Python Pride and Rapanui Surprise collided soon after the start checking Rapanui Surprise.  Theo's Thunder eased, raced wide and failed to pursue the lure approaching the first turn severely checking Carson County and Spruce Moose.  Python Pride clipped the heels of Dallas Sky on the first turn.  Theo's Thunder eased and failed to pursue the lure approaching the winning post and collided with Dallas Sky.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Divirgilio the trainer of the greyhound Theo's Thunder regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn and again approaching the winning post.  Theo's Thunder was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right and left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Theo's Thunder with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Divirgilio pleaded guilty to the charge, Theo's Thunder was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Romany Girl was quick to begin.  Cruisy's Star was slow to begin.  New Fire Girl and Romany Girl collided soon after the start.  Cruisy's Star and Architecture collided soon after the start.  Aston Ciobo, Wanjiro, Lancome Lady, New Fire Girl and Romany Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Lancome Lady.  Aston Ciobo, Wanjiro, New Fire Girl and Romany Girl collided on the first turn checking Romany Girl.  Architecture and Romany Girl collided approaching the second turn.  Wanjiro was checked off Aston Ciobo entering the home straight.  Architecture and Romany Girl collided entering the home straight.

Tyche Diamond and Weeona Garf were slow to begin and collided on the first turn checking Tyche Diamond and severely checking Weeona Garf.  She's Perfect was checked off Aston Marshall on the first turn, She's Perfect lost ground as a result.  Lylah's Way and Gaza's Rooster collided on the home turn.  Weeona Garf faltered entering the home straight and tailed off.

Weeona Garf was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Blucifer was slow to begin.  Jimmy's Angel and Unmid Bale collided soon after the start.  Premier Jess, Weeona Annie and Cloverlay collided approaching the first turn checking Premier Jess and Weeona Annie.  Premier Jess and Weeona Annie collided on the first turn checking Premier Jess which fell severely checking Weeona Annie.  Blucifer and Raging Inferno collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Burke the trainer of Little Black Joe regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Little Black Joe last raced on 17/10/17.  Mr. Burke stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injured right triangle muscle.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Langley the trainer of New Level regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  New Level last raced on 12/10/17.  Mr. Langley stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an illness.

Stewards noted a discrepency between the weight listed in Fast Track and the weight listed in Aston Ando's card from its last start.  Stewards spoke to Mr. Lieshout regarding this and he stated that he did not check the weight card at the time.  Stewards explained to Mr. Lieshout that the weight is taken from the official weight card.  Aston Ando was a late scratching at 6.07pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. E.Lieshout was fined the sum of $100.

Anderton the representative of Ballerina regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ballerina last raced on 13/09/17.  Mr. Anderton stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell.  Mr. Anderton declared a new weight of 26.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Ballerina last raced at 25.0kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Williamson after the greyhound Bossy Caleb was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  Mr. Williamson was issued with a severe reprimand and was reminded when kennelling he ensures his greyhound is kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure.
