An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Lady Mikado engaged in this event on 1 February 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A
A pre race sample was taken from Winlock Casper.
Rellim Diesel was slow to begin. Dude Abides, Rido's Ace, Lady Mikado and Winlock Casper collided soon after the start, checking Rido's Ace. Harvey Mills and Destini Trucker collided approaching the first turn. Dude Abides, Lady Mikado and Winlock Casper collided on the first turn, checking Lady Mikado and Rellim Diesel, and severely checking Winlock Casper, which fell as a result. Rido's Ace and Lady Mikado collided approaching the home turn.
Winlock Casper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist and left quadriceps, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
