Serendipity Gold was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hind toes. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Tiggerlong Boom was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hind paw. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Dig Deep Bert was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right hind foot. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Matthews, the trainer of Big Cold Burst regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Big Cold Burst last raced on 25th October 2017. Mr. Matthews stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from an extended spell.

French Defence and Are You collided approaching the first turn. Hungry Heart and Whiskey Rose collided approaching the first turn severely checking Whiskey Rose. Hungry Heart checked off French Defence on the first turn.

Hungry Heart was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hamstring injury. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Atlas Roughead was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right groin. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. L. Cookson, the trainer of the greyhound Atlas Roughead regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Atlas Roughead with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. Cookson pleaded not guilty to the charge, Atlas Roughead was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Twilight Liason and Tiggerlong Zorro were quick to begin.

Cosmic Nosey and Ruby Cabang collided approaching the first turn checking Ruby Cabang. Solar On checked off Ruby Cabang on the first turn checking Violet Blue and causing Violet Blue to fall. Billiluna and Solar On collided on the home turn.

Violet Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind foot and a torn right hind toe nail. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Meeting Comments:-

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs. P. Boots, the trainer of Fitz Tate regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Fitz Tate last raced on 23rd June 2017. Mrs. Boots stated that the greyhound was returning from a factured left hind leg. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Fitz Tate trialled over the 390mts from box 1, weight 32.9kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.55, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.75L. Fitz Tate was Cleared.
