Aztec Warrior crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Loch Nine, Speedway Chick and Balmoral Bash. Loch Nine, Balmoral Bash and Speedway Chick collided on the first turn. Aztec Warrior and Banknote raced wide on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Graham, the trainer of Wok Djay regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Wok Djay last raced on 31 October 2017. Mr Graham stated that the greyhound was resuming due to a change of kennel.

Dee Nine was slow to begin.

Dee Nine, Knuckles Kerley and Sarah Smirnoff collided approaching the first turn. Dee Nine galloped on the heels of Knuckles Kerley on the first turn.

Stewards spoke with Ms Deborah White, the trainer of Fawn Secrets, and reminded her of her responsibilities on obeying the starter's instructions as per GAR 51(9).

Nellie Shan and Shimmy Dat Ray collided soon after the start, checking Nellie Shan. Nellie Shan, Tiwala Twist, Shimmy Dat Ray and Punt Road Girl collided on the first turn. Shimmy Dat Ray and Punt Road Girl collided approaching the home turn, causing both greyhounds to race wide. Punt Road Girl made contact with, turned in toward and marred the running of Shimmy Dat Ray entering the home straight.

Punt Road Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr William Donlon, the kennel representative for the greyhound Punt Road Girl, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Punt Road Girl with marring. Mr Donlon pleaded guilty to the charge; Punt Road Girl was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for three months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Shimmy Dat Ray was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hock. A three-day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Ice Cold Yug, the winner of the event.

Half Day Harry, Chatterbox Laura, Hardaway Kate and Krazy Jane collided soon after the start. Me Bros Bad crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Half Day Harry.

Emio Bale was quick to begin.

Break The Code, Ha Ha Gotcha and Rooey collided approaching the first turn, checking Ha Ha Gotcha, causing Alpha Nyx to check off Ha Ha Gotcha.

Mr Glenn Campbell was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Blazing Lane by handler Ms Mandy Shaw, pursuant to GAR 33.

Bud Husky was slow to begin.

Riverdale Danger checked off Shadrack approaching the first turn. Slipperette checked off the heels of Shadrack in the home straight and raced wide as a result, taking Papa Duncs off its racing line. Slipperette and Papa Duncs raced wide in the home straight. Shadrack and Bud Husky collided in the home straight.

Pesty Pyper was quick to begin. Miss Premier was slow to begin.

Spritely Malibu crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Calabrese Bullet and severely checking Pesty Pyper which contacted the running rail and collided with Banjo Moment, Calabrese Bullet, Emma's Sparrow and Gin Lee's Bullet, severely checking all four greyhounds and causing Pesty Pyper to falter and fail to finish.

Pesty Pyper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain to the right wrist and an injury to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

Riverdale Tarzan was slow to begin.

Paua To Load, Lilty Allen, Kouta Chaos, Clavash and Kathy's Lady collided approaching the first turn, checking all five greyhounds. MEETING COMMENTS

Satisfactory Trial Results - Kalahari Sands trialled over the 390m from box two, weight 31.1kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.24, the greyhound won by a margin of 6.25L. Kalahari Sands was cleared.
